Job Description

SMART TELECOM is currently accepting applications from qualified candidates to join our national network deployment team in support of nationwide 5G implementation projects.

The Construction Manager will be responsible for market level projects and overall crew management. Responsibilities will be focused around all phases of cell site construction/upgrades, from initial bid walks, scope meetings, to close out package and site acceptance.

Daily Duties include but not limited to:

  • Conduct site bid walks to clarify scope details and define project budget.

  • Communicate with customer on bid walk details and agree on final scope.

  • Support project team with BOM creation and material management.

  • Support project team with schedule planning and daily reporting.

  • Perform site inspections to ensure crews are performing duties in a safe manner and in accordance with company, customer and OSHA standards.

  • Support quality team with site inspections to ensure company and customer standards are being adhered to.

  • Follow customer guidelines, collect all required pictures and documents to deliver the final COP. Review and approve COP documents per customer requirements.

  • Attend internal and customer project meetings.

  • Assist team members through shared knowledge, training and mentor-ship associated with similar project responsibilities.

  • Provide guidance, best practices and lessons learned to the team.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

  • Min 3 year’s experience in wireless construction management.

  • Track record of successful wireless construction projects across multiple carriers and OEMs.

  • High degree  of understanding commercial construction principles, terms and definitions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.

  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, meet deadlines and achieve goals set by the project team.

  • Interest in learning new skills and attend training on the latest equipment.

  • Ability and willingness to travel within designated market.

  • ComTrain or equivalent certification.

  • First Aid Certification.

  • Anritsu Site Master Certified

  • Experience installing and troubleshooting Waveguide, Hybrid Cables, Antennas, RET, Microwave and Radio Equipment.

  • Willing and able to climb tall structures in excess of 300 feet.

  • Able to work in various types of weather conditions.

  • Able to lift, carry, push, pull 75+ lbs.

  • Be physically fit and able to crouch, kneel, and twist throughout the work day.

  • Valid driver’s license and be able to pass a driving record check.

  • Be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check and MVR/DMV screen.

  • Understanding of wireless network implementation and operational services.

Smart Telecom is currently accepting applications from qualified candidates to join our national network deployment team in support of nationwide 5G implementation projects. Candidates will have a minimum of 3 years hands on deployment experience of Ericsson, Nokia, ALU or Samsung Platforms. This is a great opportunity to get hands on experience of the latest generation of equipment and be provided with 5G Training and certification.

The daily tasks may include but are not limited to:

  • Installation, Commissioning and Integration of RBS/BTS equipment into existing customer networks.

  • Installation/upgrades of cell site routers.

  • Fault diagnosis and rectification of new and existing cell site equipment utilizing experience and product documentation.

  • Assist with the development and maintenance of in-house technical documentation.

  • On site technical lead able to interface with the customer in a professional and knowledgeable manner.

Qualifications:

  • Min 3 years experience of Ericsson, Nokia, ALU or Samsung Platforms

  • Min 3 years experience of Telecom equipment including CSR, LMU, PDU.

  • Min 3 years experience of cellular network deployment projects.

  • Bachelors degree in Telecommunications / Electrical Engineering or equivalent preferred.

  • OSHA 10hr Certification preferred.

  • First Aid Certification preferred.

  • Valid driver’s license and be able to pass a driving record check.
